The Arch Haul Ultra 40L Backpack by Zpacks is an ultralight workhorse fit for hikes from the Sierras to the Smokies. With an adjustable torso height, interchangeable shoulder straps and hip belts, and the ability to add on modular accessories, you can dial in the perfect fit with this pack. Made from durable Ultra 100X fabric, this pack is highly water-resistant and will show very little wear after long-mile hikes. Enjoy added air flow with Zpack's curved carbon fiber arc frame system that keeps the pack off your back to provide a gap to keep you cool. 

Features:

• Framed with Zpacks curved carbon fiber Arc Frame System that leaves an air gap between your back and the pack for extra air movement 
• Interchangeable padded hip belt that connects directly to the frame for superior load transfer. "V-style" webbing allows you to cinch down the top and bottom edges of the belt to hug your curves more securely than belts with a single adjustment
• Made with Ultra 100X to provide extremely high abrasion and tear resistance
• Fully seam taped, making this pack highly water-resistant (a pack liner is still recommended)
• Top and bottom straps allow you to lash on extra items for longer carries but come off when you don't need them
• Roll-top closure with side compression cords that help to compress the pack as your gear shrinks
  
• Interchangeable shoulder straps that feature comfy 3/8" closed cell foam padding with 3D Mesh on the bottom for air flow and cushioning. A daisy chain lets you clip on accessories, and a sternum strap can be moved up or down for a perfect fit
• Load lifter straps to keep the pack secure and snug
• Spacious side pockets with a drainage hole on the bottom and elastic on the top are positioned low and slanted on the pack for easy access. Each pocket can fit up to two 1L bottles 
• A large stretchy mesh center pocket is handy for quick access items like your rain jacket and snacks, and it allows you to dry out wet clothing and gear
• A drinking tube can be threaded out of the corner of the roll top closure and secured with the daisy chain on the shoulder strap
  
• All standard Bear Canisters will fit in the upper half of this pack, standing on end
• The shoulder straps can be adjusted up or down for a perfect fit using our patented torso adjustment mechanism. It works like a conveyor belt. This is great for sharing the pack between people, or for growing teenagers. If in doubt, most people fit the "medium" adjustment range

Shoulder Straps: 

• Regular: Comfy 2.75" wide contoured shoulder straps made with 3/8" closed cell foam and 3D mesh on the underside for cushion and breathability. 
• Small/Women's: Designed for smaller-framed hikers, these straps are a more compact version of the Regular Straps. They are slightly narrower at 2.5 inches wide and a couple of inches shorter in length.
• Both contain a daisy chain, an adjustable sternum strap, and load lifters.
